Deanmill - Western Australia

Deanmill is located a few kilometres west of Manjimup and is an interesting example of an old style timber town.

Most of these small timber production settlements have long since disappeared but Deanmill appears to still be a thriving community and the mill was still in operation the last time we visited.

The town dates from 1913 and the mill was involved in the production of railway sleepers for the Trans-Australia railway.
