Are you eligible to apply for a student permit of Canada?

Hey guys, this is the first video of our series about the Student Visa process. In this video, I am talking about the eligibility criteria you need to satisfy if you want to make an application under the Student permit program.

People normally have many questions when it comes to applying for a student permit. Some common questions are as follows:

-Can I migrate to Canada as a student if I have work experience?
-What is the minimum IELTS score required if I want to migrate to Canada as a student?
-Can I change my career if I am moving to Canada as a student?
-what is the minimum amount of money required to make an application for a student permit?
-How do I know if I am eligible to migrate to Canada as a student?

To get answers to your questions, you have to understand the eligibility criteria set up by the Canadian government to determine if an application is eligible to apply for a student permit. In order to be eligible, you have to meet the following criteria:

1) You need to submit a letter of acceptance from a Canadian College or University. This document assures that you have been enrolled in one of the Diploma/Degree/Certificate that the designated Learning Institute and you meet the admissions requirements for the program you are applying for. - 1:16

2) Your criminal history- An ideal applicant cannot have a criminal record. If you have a criminal record then there is a very good chance that your student permit application would be rejected. - 1:45

3) Your health condition- You need to prove that you are healthy and you do not have any diseases that can be a potential health hazard to the people of Canada. This can be proved using your medical examination results. - 1:55

4) Proof of funds- You also need to prove that you have enough funds to pay your tuition fees and meet your basic expenses during your stay in Canada. According to the Canadian website, you need to have at least $10,000 for every year of your stay. - 2:09


If you satisfy these four factors then it does not matter what your age is, if you are changing your career or what your IELTS score is, you are eligible to apply for a student permit of Canada. Please note that this does not guarantee that you will get a positive response to your application.
