Our adventure on the "Wild West" train from Connersville, Indiana to Metamora, Indiana on May 21st, 2022. Thanks to the Whitewater Valley Railroad, and the Circle D Rangers for a great time! We were treated to wild west re-enactments at the "OK Corral" in Metamora, again in Laurel when a skirmish broke out in front of the train, and THEN we were caught in a horrific storm. What a great day! We were delayed about an hour, but the Circle D Rangers kept everybody entertained. We both highly recommend this trip to anybody that likes trains, the wild west, and tourist traps. There is a tavern with good short order food, a couple candy stores, and a few other eateries. LOTS of little shops to poke around in. It's an hour and 15 minutes each way on the train, and they give you about 2 hours to play in Metamora. Kid friendly.
