This toe-tapping piece was featured on "Dr John Teaches New Orleans Piano (lesson one)" and this particular transcription is an accurate reflection of that exact performance from Mac's legendary blues DVD's which were recorded in 1988.
The original Pine Top Boogie was of course written much earlier by Pinetop Smith in 1928 and adapted by Dr John to have his charismatic funky New Orleans-style groove.
For those who are wondering, Pinetop Smith got his name from climbing tree's back in his day!
