Writer Patricia Albers’ recent book is Joan Mitchell, Lady Painter: A Life. She is also the author of Shadows, Fire, Snow: The Life of Tina Modotti and the curator of “Tina Modotti and the Mexican Renaissance” for the Moderna Museet, Stockholm, and Arles Photography Festival. Albers teaches art history at San Francisco and San Jose State Universities and is currently working on a biography of photographer André Kertész.
