Created with MicroStation http://www.Bentley.com this clip presents the motion of mars as seen from the earth. Since we are observing the motion from the earth, this is an earth centric view, showing the sun going around the earth and dragging the orbit of mars along with it. This creates a beautiful pattern with 22 loops! It takes 47 earth years or 25 mars years to form these (47 - 25 = 22) loops.
