I found a nice model online for a holder to use a Makita RT0701C router on my 3018 cnc and figured it'd be a pretty fast job to test it out and get some better performance from my little machine.

tldr; the basic swap isn't worth the trouble, it'll at least need longer bearings to support the extra weight but even then I doubt it'll be great.
Update: I ordered an aluminum Z axis and spindle holder, I'll put up another video whenever that comes in
