Ali Asian Cuisine (A great spot for sushi in Mount Vernon)

We felt like sharing one of our favorite restaurants, a small family run Asian restaurant in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Driving through Mt. Vernon, you'd miss it, if you weren't looking for it. Hidden away behind the CVS, just to the north off of highway 15.

Ali Asian Cuisine may not look like a whole lot on the outside, but it would be hard to find a place within a 100 mile radius, that can make sushi taste half as good. Sushi isn't the only dish on the menu that's delicious, they have Hibachi, Japanese, Chinese, & Thai dishes that are fantastic as well. I really enjoy getting the pork fried dumplings, my wife loves their crab rangoons & their fried sushi.

If you are going through Mt. Vernon & have the time to make a stop, you won't regret passing up the chain restaurants in town to go to Ali Asian Cuisine. We happened to be talking to one of the Kroger employees about a year ago about sushi & he pointed us to Ali's. For us a family of five to eat, with tip, is around the $50 to $60 range, including appetizer. You'll find yourself paying the same at many of the Mt. Vernon restaurants, for food that does taste as good as their's.
