After many months of frustration, we finally got a 575 logic board with the Daystar 601 66Mhz PowerPC card working!!! It only worked in 68040 mode previously. For some reason the 601 Processor Card control panel didn't work, it just booted with the PPC chime and then went to a black screen. We removed the 601 Processor Card control panel and then installed the Daystar PowerPro control panel and THAT FIXED IT. This will be used in my Color Classic "Mystic", and we'll be able to run System 7, OS 8 AND OS 9. Woo hoo!!
