On May 28, Takemasa Ishikura, the leader of Matsuriza, a traditional Japanese Taiko ensemble, recognition by Congressman Darren Soto during the Asian American Pacific Heritage Month in May 2025 for his contributions to the Central Florida community.

We had the privilege of attending the AANHPI Month Celebration hosted by Congressman Darren Soto at the Orange County UF/IFAS Extension. During this event, Congressman Darren Soto recognized ten outstanding local Asian American individuals in honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Congratulations to all the Central Florida/Kissimmee honorees for their remarkable contributions to our community!
