Beginning in 2022 the Reading & Northern Railroad would fire up steam locomotive #2102 to haul excursions from Reading to Jim Thorpe on select Summer Days. In 2023 the tradition continued with 3 days being selected for the #2102 to haul these excursions. While sporting A Reading hooter and six chime the train would be tasked with hauling anywhere from 15-18 coaches on this day long excursion. Now please enjoy this production by The Pennsylvania Railfan, “Summer Rambles on the Anthracite Route.”
