Mike is here to talk about using SCL positioning control with an S6 servo drive and Allen-Bradley PLC to operate a KEB DL3 servo motor.
The benefits of using SCL (Sensorless Closed Loop) motor control is that it provides accurate position, speed, and torque control of a permanent magnet servo motor without the use of a traditional feedback device (encoder or resolver). This provides a cost savings and a way to make a system more robust.
