The Aflao Traditional Area, spanning southeastern Ghana, southern Togo, and parts of Benin, boasts a rich musical tradition where community music, dance, and drumming are integral to daily life.

For 6 weeks, we are showcasing new versions of traditional music and dance by 6 groups from this culturally rich area. This project involves multiple communities across continents, combining local expertise and global collaboration.

Curated by Emmanuel Agbeli, Director of the Dagbe Cultural Institute and Art Center, and organized with New York musician and composer Robert Levin, this session features high-quality audio and video production from the Aflao community.
