Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.”
…. and Catholics and Protestants often follow man's tradition. Something we need to be careful of and be aware of; "And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'" Isaiah 29:13 "and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men," Mark 7:7 "teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ But Jesus taught, “The one having believed and having been baptized will be saved, but the one having disbelieved will be condemned.”
1 Corinthians 2:2, "For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him having been crucified."
Only in God dwells all the fullness of the Godhead Bodily. For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand signs and Greeks search for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified (Acts 2:38/10:48), a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.
That doesn’t mean there were no signs at Pentecost, there most certainly were. But our faith is not in signs' … Isaiah 43: 1-2 “Now thus says the LORD/Yahweh—He who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name. Mine you are! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; nor scorched by the flame.” And these signs, including ("they shall speak with new tongues;”) and gifts of the Holy Spirit do continue to this day in His Church "that we may know him that is true," ...
John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
1 John 5:20
"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life."
The scriptures never apply ELOHIM to YHWH/Jehovah with plurality, but declare God is a singular, masculine, third-person pronoun, (He) or a Singular first-person pronoun (I, me, my, mine and myself) many thousands of times.
Jehovah, or Yahweh — (or LORD in English) refers to "everlasting God, the Creator" the name God revealed to Moses: JESUS is LORD, and JESUS is the Almighty.
Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
Genesis 18:1, 2,6, 8
“And the LORD as a man, (the man CHRIST JESUS) appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;” And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: Men, “And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, (Matthew 13:33) knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.” … “and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.”
Daniel 9:21 (Angels can appear as men)
“Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel"
Luke 1:19
“And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God;
Not a “Theophany” .. Theophany’s not a word in the Bible—that is not the correct wording. The pagan term "theophany" was used to refer to the pagan gods in ancient Greek and in Near Eastern religions.
— The Bible does not say “God is not the Son of God,” “JESUS is the WORD of God, and God is the WORD (Greek). In original Greek. (καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος. "Ho logos" (ὁ λόγος) is Greek meaning "the Word."— “and God was the Word.” Psalm 33:12 … "God is the LORD,” and JESUS is LORD.
the Logos is a name or title of Jesus Christ
Deuteronomy 6:4 (in Hebrew)
“Hear, O Israel: Yahweh our God, Yahweh one:”
Mark 12:29 (in Greek)
Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear O Israel, the Lord God of us, the Lord One is.” John 10:30 Greek: “I and the Father One are”
in Greek, the phrase used is huios anthrōpou (υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου). Here, huios means “son,” and anthrōpos means “man” or “human being.” The term “Son of Man” does not refer to a separate being. Both the “Son of God” and the “Son of Man” refer to the same person, Jesus Christ.
