Rod Stewart Surprises The Prince's Trust Winner at Pride of Scotland | Magic Moments

Reece’s story is inspirational. As a young carer for his mum, his life became chaotic after she witnessed a killing, leading the family into witness protection. He faced immense challenges, including fights at school and depression.

Realising that staying at home worsened his situation, he moved out and spent five months in a homeless unit, but struggled to cope even after securing his own place. His lifestyle spiraled as he turned to clubbing, drinking, and violence, leading to suicidal thoughts.

A turning point came after narrowly avoiding jail; he received a mental health assessment, was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, and got support from The Prince’s Trust. This led him to the Get into Retail program, which changed his life. He secured a job with Tesco and became a Young Ambassador for the Trust, sharing his journey to inspire others.

Now, he aims to pursue a career in mental health, using his experiences to help those in similar situations, including volunteering with ex-prisoners.
