A 100% original near-mint example. Acquired with changed input tubes but with the original Philips JAN- 6BQ5's outputs (mil-spec Sylvania's). I recently installed all Telefunken 12AX7's, with 4x Telefunken EL-84's, One Amperex Orange Print (Mullard GZ-34) and a matching Orange Print Amperex (Mullard EF-86). Includes the serial numbered matching cabinet loaded with 1st year Blue RI's. There is NO evidence that they were not installed by Matchless at the point of manufacture. I spoke with PJ from Matchlesss last week and he believed a "few early-on cabs were equipped with the Celest' Blues". He also added, "this was likely a kitchen-counter build". Serial numbers started at 1000. This is #1020, both amp and cab. This amp is living happily in Simi Valley, Ca and is NOT for sale.
