Boys of Summer: American Legion Baseball Documentary

Boys of Summer" is a Daily News documentary featuring the Wahpeton, North Dakota, American Legion Baseball team. Filmmakers Robert Wanek Jr., Madison Nelson-Gira and Noah Clooten follow the program throughout its 2023 state championship season, bringing small-town baseball to the big screen with hard-hitting highlights and in-depth player interviews. This special group of ballplayers compiled a 108-19 record over the past three summers, making them one of the most successful legion programs in the United States. The film made its world premiere on December 30th, 2023, inside the 500-seat Bremer Bank Theatre at North Dakota State College of Science.
