Dear Brother and Sisters,

Istighfar is the weapon of believers against the Shaytan who tries to encourage them to sin. Shaytan continuously tries to lead humans astray so long as they are alive. On the other hand, Allah(swt) continuously forgives them as long as they seek His forgiveness.

Tonight, let's delve into the profound topic of istighfar, or seeking forgiveness from Allah. We all carry burdens of sins, and yet, despite our faults, Allah's mercy remains boundless. He has always kept his doors open ready to forgive us if we turn to Him with sincere repentance.

During this blessed month of Ramadan, let us seize the opportunity to cleanse our souls and seek forgiveness for our past transgressions. Allah invites the sinners to come and seek His forgiveness. Just as a newborn baby enters the world free of sin, we too can emerge from Ramadan purified and renewed. This is an opportunity that must not be missed, for we do not know if we would be alive the next year. Let us engage in as many acts of worship as possible and refrain from bad deeds while repenting for our wrongdoings.

May our sincere repentance in this month bring us closer to Allah(as) and bring joy to the heart of the Imam of our time(atfs).
