Have you ever needed to replace the backing plates or hub seals on your Ford 10.5? We will go through how to remove and replace both the backing plate and rear hub seals. This is a easy job that would be do able in your driveway.
Special tools needed are
Seal driver- OTC 6867 ( https://amzn.to/45MWRII) 1999 and later SRW 10.5.
Rear Axle Socket- OTC 6601 ( https://amzn.to/3tLYTLT ) 03 and up SRW 10.5.
Parts needed
Hub seal- BRS193 (1999-present 10.5)
Axle Seal- E5TZ-4A331-A (1980-2019 10.5)
LH backing plate- 8C3Z-2210-A (2005-2010 10.5)
RH backing plate- 8C3Z-2209-A (2005-2010 10.5)
