had a blast at waterfront's november HEMA arcade 2025 !! lots of toomfoolery happened
each arcade has a silly gimmick or different ruleset, last time you got to pick your own theme song but this time we had two pools so we just compiled it into one playlist and did a silly ruleset
this ruleset is civilian/judicial dueling where you cannot end the life of your opponent, shallow targets give +2 points, deep/lethal targets are -3 points, so you wanna draw blood on ur opponent but you cant kill them or else thats MURDERRR, points differ per weapon, I think rapier doesn't count head shots as lethal unless it's super well placed (like a slice to the neck would be counted lethal as opposed to a bonk on the head) i could be wrong tho. Top 8 fighters get lawyers to represent them post mortem in court
