Making Painted Plywood Shields - How to make Simple Prop Shields that look great

How to make historically inspired movie prop shields from plywood. How to make cool movie shields at home with simple tools.This tutorial demonstrates how to layout the shape of the shields, use a bandsaw to cut the shape, route the edge, glue on a canvas cover, paint with acrylic paint and then finally layout and paint the fantasy heraldic devices using metallic paint and markers. The last step is the and a salt spray patina to give the shields a used feeling.
