A hijab controversy has erupted at St. Rita’s School in Palluruthy, Kochi. The school management reportedly denied entry to a student who came wearing a hijab, while the parents insisted that their child would continue to wear it. The school has been declared closed for today and tomorrow. The parents alleged that the child was being mentally harassed and have filed complaints with the Chief Minister and the Education Minister.
