Knock knees (genu valgum) occur when both knees touch each other while the ankles stay apart. This condition is often seen in children around the ages of 5 to 6 years and can be completely normal (physiological). However, if it persists beyond the age of 7 years, it may indicate a pathological condition, most commonly caused by Vitamin D deficiency or bone deformity.
