Devin broke away from his team for their safety, they were the only family he had. He knew what he said upset them but he couldn't keep getting them caught in his fights. After he left them he went out on patrol into the forest. He came across his old family's home and decided to kneel down and send them his prayers. He let his guard down and got jumped by an assassin duo. He was barely able to escape, while he was making his way home he got a message from his 'old' friends. The message was glitchy and kept breaking up. When the orb disconnected Devin felt his heart sink at the thought of his family dying again. He quickly broke into a sprint as he made his way back towards the village, not slowing down or stopping for anything. Not even when he made a wrong turn and came to the edge of a cliff. With no hesitation he jumped. Landing softly he jumped up and started straight towards the entrance. When he arrived he saw the same assassin's that got the jump on him. He instantly grabbed ahold of his weapon and the enemy. Swiftly cutting of the assassin's head and tossing it aside, he told the others to head home while he finished and cleaned up. A few hours later Devin returned covered in blood, he made his way over to the couch and hugged the closest person. "I'm so glad you guys are safe...!" He smiled as tears fell from his eyes. The boys never seen him show so much emotion.
