Who is Odysseus?
Odysseus is a famous Greek hero known for being smart and clever. He fought in the Trojan War and came up with the idea of the Trojan Horse. In Roman stories, he is called Ulysses.

The Trojan War and the Trojan Horse
The Trojan War lasted for ten years when Odysseus had a great idea. He made a big wooden horse and hid Greek soldiers inside it. The horse was given to the people of Troy as a gift. When they brought it into the city, the soldiers jumped out and helped destroy Troy.

Odysseus's Journey Home
After the war, Odysseus and his crew tried to return home to Ithaca. But their journey took ten long years because angry gods sent them off course. Along the way, they faced many challenges and met strange creatures. One of these was Polyphemus, a giant Cyclops who trapped and ate some of Odysseus's men.
