RJ Studio’s 129th video is about conducting Hierarchical Clustering, using SciPy.

I download US crime dataset recorded in 1973. The dataset contains crime rate for each State.

Then I perform Hierarchical Clustering and draw dendrograms to divide 50 States into 3 clusters.

Overall, 3 clusters showed the following characteristic:
cluster 1 - high crime rate
cluster 2 - mediocre crime rate
cluster 3 - low crime rate


In addition, I briefly explain the importance of linkage and demonstrate how much the shape of dendrogram depends on the type of linkage used. 🚀
