Zach Calzada may be one of the more polarizing names in the 2026 NFL Draft Class. He is someone on whom you may have a perceived opinion due to a bad decision he made this last football season. I can tell you from personal experience, he is not that guy. I got to spend five days getting to know Zach Calzada on a personal level. From the minute he first met me, not knowing who I was, it was straight respect, leading with a shake of the hand and a “how are you doing today, sir?” He was willing to talk to and interact with anybody during the week of the Dream Bowl; he even took over an hour out of his free time, something that is a luxury during a senior bowl weekend, to sit down and do an interview with me. Throughout this video, I will be sharing clips from that interview as we go over Zach’s journey. This is the story of Zach Calzada, the most misunderstood quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class.
