MezzossO "Live Mind House" 25.1.25

MezzossO is the guitar core extrapolated from the band Mezz Gacano, which involves Mezz Gacano and Marco Monterosso on guitars and vocals. The “dusted off” repertoire is the classic Mezz Gacano one with some songs composed “ad hoc” just for this duo (Montesta, Opsedale Spichiatrico and Voivodorato di Pomerania).

☆ Mezz Gacano, aka David(e) Nino Urso Mezzatesta, is a guitarist with a radical rock background with nuances that go towards pure experimentation and more stigmatized influences, such as progressive or chamber music, without (almost) ever disdaining turns towards hard core punk or the most extreme rock.

☆ Marco Monterosso (who in Mezz Gacano presents himself under the pseudonym of Ruhi Nakodà) is perhaps the most popular character of the “Andergraund” scene in Palermo and beyond; refined and brilliant guitarist with influences ranging from stoner to traditional music, with some moments of thrash metal and/or early grunge.

They have been working together since 2000 and together they have played with practically everyone; just to name a few: Airfish, Stormy Six, Pan del Diavolo, Akkura, Tommaso Leddi, Richard Sinclair, Henry Cow, Gianni Gebbia, Kali Yuga, Magilla Gorilla, Semprefreski, One Dimesional Man, Mari X, La Banda di Palermo, Urania, M.I.L., Philip Corner, Fabio Rizzo, Fabrizio Cammarata, Iotatola etc…
