Assetto Corsa F1 1982 Season Downloads

1982 F1 Assetto Corsa season. MAJOR improvements. Cars are much slower now and the lap times on most tracks are very realistic. Monza, Hockenheim, Imola and Brazil lap times are pretty much 100% spot on. Kyalami and Spa are still too fast but it's impossible to slow them down anymore without compromising the safe races. Adjusted tyre FX refs, engines, aero, etc. to achieve slower pace. New Detroit 1982 track with correct layout is glorious!

Racing time varies from 25 to 35 minutes.

Brabham, Renault and Ferrari have the edge in power but the driver/user (set to Rosberg/Williams Cosworth) has better fuel economy. You still have a chance to win occasional races because more powerful but less economic turbo cars have to pit twice occasionally.

Rosberg won the title with 150 hp deficit Cosworth with consistency and because superior Turbo engines were still unreliable. Either way it was the slowest car that ever won the F1 title.

SD cars were a complete train wreck in their default form and way too unchallenging. Mod has all other tyremodels but supersoft removed and various suspension mods which prevent them from crashing so much, etc. Monaco and Oesterreichring still have occasional traffic issues but that is the problem with all Lotus98T based Kunos cars. The season is very playable and challenging.

CSP last stable version 0.1.79 recommended. Jacarepagua has a lap counter issue with the newest 0.2.11.

All in correct order. Zandvoort is missing on purpose. There is a vintage Zandvoort AC and we rigorously tested that track but no matter what, these cars will not work with it. They crash everywhere and drive like maniacs. All other races should have very accurate layout and the cars work nicely most of the time.

Known issues: Kyalami still gets occasional crash on the main straight. Monaco and Oesterreichring still get occasional traffic issues when AI cars leave "crawling" on the track. But it was a crashy, deadly season so I can live with these. Zandvoort is missing as there is no track that works with these cars.
