Steinberg Cubase 11 is a great DAW for hardstyle music production. In this Cubase tutorial, Toneshifterz looks at the music workflow for creating hardstyle leads using only Cubase plug-ins like Retrologue 2, which has up to 8 voices per oscillator to create a detuned voice sound, like the Euro dance genre or an old school sound. With a noise generator and ring modulation to create a buzzy crispy sound, then adjusting the ADSR curve of the filter envelope and adding effects, you can create great tonal character and balance in sound.
