Divine Lifting: From Mockery to Glory
Introduction
Jesus was mocked that He could not save Himself—yet He became the Savior of the world.
Whatever the devil creates in mockery of you is a sign that something great is about to happen.
Hannah was mocked for being barren, but eventually, she gave birth to Samuel and six other children.
So, if you are trying to avoid being mocked, you are unknowingly avoiding your blessings. Mockery is often a sign of the glory ahead!
What Is Divine Lifting?
The word divine means “something that comes from above,” and lifting means being raised from a low place.
Ezekiel 37 reminds us that dry bones can live again by the Spirit of God.
Sometimes what makes you “dry” is that God is emptying you so He can fill you.
Anyone passing through a season of dryness is being prepared for greater glory ahead.
The Power of Being “Dry”
What does it mean to be dry? Romans 6:9–11 teaches us that to be dry is to be dead to sin.
When you reach this stage:
• They mock you, and you are not moved.
• They tease you, and you are not shaken.
That season of dryness is actually the stage where heavy glory is coming.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were mocked, yet they refused to bow.
Daniel was mocked and thrown into the lion’s den, yet he wasn’t worried about whether God would save him—he had already considered himself dead before entering the den.
When you get to that place in God where you are no longer moved by what people say or by circumstances around you, then you are truly ready for glory.
Coming Before His Presence
The Lord asks us to “come before His presence” (Psalm 95:2, Psalm 100:2).
But how do we come? With an open and surrendered heart.
Hebrews 12:1 reminds us to lay aside every weight before we approach Him.
The only exception is in Matthew 11:28, where Jesus says:
“Come unto me, all ye who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
But even here, the condition is clear—you must cast your burdens on Him.
No one approaches God with heaviness and still receives from Him.
Dying to Live
God calls us to be dead to sin and alive in Him (Colossians 1:27).
Until you are crucified with Christ, you cannot fully live in His Word.
The storms and trials you face are not to destroy you, but to make you empty before God.
Many times, what feels like distance from God is actually us coming with our own ideas, instead of listening to His voice.
1 Peter 5:10 reminds us that suffering perfects, establishes, strengthens, and settles us.
Storms break us so that God can rebuild us into vessels of honor, not dishonor.
If you face no challenges, then you have not yet been refined.
Why God Allows Challenges
When storms come, the devil wants you to focus on your problems, but God wants you to see your growth.
The devil wants you to rely on your own strength, but God reveals your weakness so that His glory may rest upon you.
Psalm 91:4 shows us that God covers us under His wings, not so that we may boast in ourselves, but in Him alone.
The Final Word
John 3:31 declares:
“He that cometh from above is above all.”
What is God saying to you today?
He wants you to be dead to sin and alive to Him, His Word, and His counsel.
Your mockery is a prophecy.
Your dryness is preparation.
Your storm is refining.
And your divine lifting is coming!
