When I was in junior high school, I really wanted a clean version of this without voice over announcing or audience applause, so I finally made my own version. It's based on the movie version where Jake & Elwood walk onstage. The tune is a speeded up "Can't Turn You Loose" by Otis Redding, combined with "Time is Tight" by Booker T & the Memphis Group. Former Stax Records guitarist Steve Cropper played on both original tracks.
If I ever come across a time machine, I can take this back to give to my 8th grade self to use in my talent show performance. I don't think this will cause any Butterfly Effect.
