Adventure documentarians Ellie and Buddy Pendergasts fall into the ice ocean on Jupiter's moon Europa, but manage to send out an emergency beacon. Alan and Gordon take a long flight on Thunderbird 3 to their location. They find the Pendergasts, who survived inside a small mobile rover. Before they head out, Alan leads them to their first encounter of alien life. Their exit stalls when the ocean surface seals up, but they find a way to punch through the ice and fly away.
