eBay | Patrick Grant: my inspiration

Fashion Forward Menswear designer Patrick Grant of E.Tautz showed his latest offering last week as part of London Collections: Men. The collection was inspired by a vintage Fifties jacket found on eBay; "I came across this incredible jacket probably a 1950's piece that I bought from a dealer in America, the check was so big it filled the whole thing. It was just one check. This got us thinking about scale and we worked with this fantastic mill called Johnson of Elgin and they took some really traditional patterns and blew them up and twisted them with colour, scale and texture."

Patrick is a massive fan of eBay.co.uk: "I am an eBay fanatic, I'm slightly addicted to it -- there is so much about eBay that is part of my daily creative process" so we tracked him down to find out more about his latest collection, and that jacket he found on eBay.

....And girls, you will be pleased to know that E.Tautz will be expanding into womenswear, starting with a small collection of shirts!
