For treadmill use, and for those who just want to explore. This is a 2.35 mile hike (800 foot elevation gain) to Triangulation Peak, where you can view several Oregon mountain peaks in the distance. Then at the end visit a cave that is 1/4ml north of the peak, called Boca Cave. Enjoy
Note: if you plan to hike this trail, it is a steady climb most of the way. The final part, a left turn for Boca cave near the peak, can be a little slippery and tricky, so bring good shoes and 1 or 2 hiking poles. It's steep terrain, very wet and moldy, and a shallow cave. Not worth trying to camp in there unless you're a frog and not worried about rolling down the mountain during the night. If you are new to the path, finding the cave can be tricky too. Do your research, and don't go solo. Don't leave valuables in your car, either. Bring lots of drinking water, of course. Respect this valuable resource, please, for future generations.
