Distributism & The Ownership Economy

Distributism is a political philosophy that supports widespread distribution of private ownership throughout society and contrasts itself to capitalism (concentration of productive property into the hands of the few) and socialism (government ownership). Distributism is a term employed by G.K. Chesterton and Hilaire Belloc to describe the social teachings of the Catholic Church, but it coincidentally aligns with the views of Thomas Jefferson and other republican thinkers.
