Michael Cimino is the Oscar-winning director of "The Deer Hunter," the reviled director of the underrated "Heaven's Gate" whuich almost brought down the studio; his early work includes the Oscar-nominated Clint Eastwood crime caper "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" and his later work includes "Year Of The Dragon" starring Mickey Roarke and "The Sicilian" starring Christopher Lambert.
The music for my tribute is "The Deer Hunter Theme Song (Cavatina)" from "The Deer Hunter" and "Ella's Waltz" from "Heaven's Gate" by David Mansfield.
