Small cave in the peak district

Old cave in the Peak District. As you can imagine it was quite dark to see and was gathering water seeping in from the rocks. I had a quick look around.

I think there was a bat at the top of the cave as I could see something move.
From my understand the whole area was under sea then the ice age came and melted and it created the valley and caves so if I had to guess there is probably a lot buried in the soil around this area still waiting to be discovered.

The cave go's on for around 126 metres there is a part where you can repel deeper underground with rope further back from my understanding there was anchor points that have now been removed.

You may notice the chains they were put there as a warning to people to be careful as part of the cave past the chains has recently collapsed and there is also more loose rock above.

I do not tend to venture too deep in caves I visit as I do not have the right equipment and as I say leave that to the pros it would be stupid to take the risk. There is a few channels that venture deep in the caves in the Peak District.
