Leonard Cohen is one of my favorite lyricists but he and I have very different voices so he can be tricky to cover. I've been working on this song for a while, gaining my confidence in my ability to keep the finger picking pattern consistent, and I'm happy with how it turned out. Leonard Cohen is, for me, the sound of winter and rainy days. I think this song captures the mood perfectly as we approach the shortest day of the year.
