Abdominal - From God to Verse

So, fellow rapper, comedian and author Seth Brown just published a fully RHYMED version of the Torah, "From God to Verse" (link below), which took him the better part of the last decade to write. As such, he understandably had rhyming fatigue, so decided to commission me via Event Rap to come up with a Custom Rap on the general subject of "sacred texts" (think Bible, Koran, Torah, etc.).

Specifically, he asked me to talk about how I, born Jewish, personally engage (or don't, as is more accurately the case) with the Torah, plus to examine the distinctions between the "sacred" and the "sacrosanct" and also to discuss the fact that translations of sacred texts are, by definition, interpretations of the translator (and not, in fact, the direct word of God).

Initially, as a not-particularly-religious person, I was somewhat skeptical that I was the best person for the job. However, I slowly found myself warming to the subject, and just let the words flow (in a way that I, coincidentally, end up discussing in the song)!
