More than two decades ago, a journey on the line from Sa Pobla to Palma; then on the vintage electric trains from Palma to Sóller with a stop at Mirador d'es Pujol d'en Banya; and a Tranvía de Sóller tram through the streets to Port de Sóller. Then some activity at Sóller station and sheds before returning to Sa Pobla.
The line from Sa Pobla to Palma was recently reopened at that time, with metre gauge (3 feet 3 3⁄8 inches) tracks. The trains have since been replaced.
The Palma to Sóller line remains at 3 feet (914mm) gauge, as originally constructed.
