At Wild Frontiers, we believe travel can be a powerful force for good; breaking down barriers, dispelling myths and bringing people from different cultures and communities together. The Background
Wild Frontiers was founded in 1998 by travel writer Jonny Bealby, after a chance encounter with the chief of a pagan tribe Pakistan's Hindu Kush led to the birth of Wild Frontiers and a lifelong friendship. In the company’s early days we expanded to develop tours throughout Central Asia, India, Pakistan and the Middle East. Today we run trips to over 80 countries, ranging from journeys along the Silk Road to tours exploring the ruins of Guatemala, and everything in between.

We specialise in stylish and original small group tours and tailor-made holidays to some of the most fascinating destinations on earth. For both types of holiday we believe it’s the small details - the types of transport we use, the places you stay, and above all the experiences we put together and the people you meet along the way, that make a trip special.

Our team is made up of well-travelled experts and tour leaders, and every trip we run stems from that first-hand knowledge. In short, we run the type of trips that we, as travellers, like to take. And as tastes vary so much, so do our accommodation options, from staying in a yurt in Kyrgyzstan to homestays in Georgia and from a luxury cabin on a Galapagos boat or on a beautiful boat sailing through the islands of Indonesia to a heritage palace in Rajasthan.

From carefully selected experiences such as learning to cook pasta in an Italian home, to a walking tour of Delhi led by former street children, we do our best to ensure you learn about your destination from the people who know it best - the locals. And by supporting local initiatives such as homestays and visits to co-operatives, we are able to offer a unique cultural experience to the traveler and ensure that money from tourism supports the hosts, their community and the local economy.
