In this video, I get behind the wheel of the very first Bathurst 1000-winning car—the 1963 Ford Cortina GT—and go head-to-head in a side-by-side race against the 2024 Gen 3 Chevrolet Camaro Supercar, the car that took victory in the latest Bathurst 1000 with Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood behind the wheel.

The challenge? See how many laps I can survive in the Cortina before the modern Supercar puts me a lap down on Australia’s most iconic circuit: Mount Panorama.
