During a day trip to Fort Madison, I caught a few nice things. A few meets and some trains on the K-Line. We rode Amtrak #4 up which was only one hour late into La Plata up to Fort Madison and stationed up for the day. We had a nice time exploring the town and seeing some cool trains while also having a nice lunch at the Fort Diner. The majority of our time was spent up at the pedestrian bridge crossing the tracks at the station. A couple of coal trains on the Hannibal Sub and a handful of trains on the Marceline were recorded. Though many other trains were seen, my favorite train of the day was about half way into the video and was the BNSF G-ISIMAD3 going Eastbound on the K. I am very passionate about my grain trains. We also were lucky enough to see some coal loads coming EB on the K-Line with BNSF 5964 leading the way with a brand new horn replacing it's old K1L2. This specific coal train also had TWO Executive SD70MACs serving as rear DPUs. Footage near the end of the video was from Amtrak #3 Southwest Chief on the way back to La Plata, Missouri.
