Meet Mars—the tiniest new arrival at Tanganyika Wildlife Park, and a BIG reason to smile today! 🦛❤️

Born on June 26, 2025, Mars is a rare and adorable pygmy hippopotamus calf—weighing just under 13 pounds and already winning hearts with his zoomies, twig battles, and irresistible charm. But this little guy isn’t just cute—he’s also playing a vital role in helping save his endangered species, with fewer than 3,000 pygmy hippos left in the wild.

From cuddles with mom Posie to playful sprints around the barn, Mars is already a superstar!
