The development of the motorcycle, like the development of most other technologies, occurred in stages: first, there were steam-powered safety motorcycles; next, there were gas-powered motors; and finally, there was the four-stroke engine of a Harley that we hear roaring down expressways today. The fact that motorcycles have been around since the 1800s is an interesting fact about them that ought to be brought to your attention.
During the 19th century, various inventors all over Europe were responsible for the creation of the very first models of the motorbike. Although it is not possible to pinpoint a single model or product as the "original" prototype of the modern motorcycle, there were a number of significant advances that can be attributed to the birth of the modern motorbike.

THE BIRTH OF THE MOTORCYCLE:
Our story starts in the late 19th century, when people began to create the very first motorbikes. Imagine something with a wooden frame, a design resembling a bicycle, and a steam engine that moves at a rate comparable to that of a snail. These early machines could not be compared to the high-performance ones that are available today. They might not have been speed demons, but they were the ones who set the groundwork for what was to follow.
In their early iterations, motorbikes served more as a kind of entertainment than as a functional source of transit. In spite of the fact that they were frequently bulky and unreliable, they were successful in capturing the imaginations of innovators and tinkerers, which helped pave the way for innovation in the years to come.
