At 12:23 make sure you use a dry q-tip to apply/evenly spread the lubricant in the bowl. This will help hide the scratches. Do not use a q-tip with isopropyl on it as this will break the lubricant down.

When I get more time I plan on making more videos in the future to show how I restore the entire controller: Cleaning, polishing the scratches out of the buttons, polishing a corroded expansion port, preventing damage to screw posts, removing yellowing from the shell, re-wrapping the cord like they come from the factory, and other cool stuff I've learned since I've been collecting/restoring.
