10 years ago, we lost two beautiful people: Charles Nelson Reilly on May 25th and Brett Somers on this very day. Since they were a nigh-inseperable duo on Match Game and by all accounts best friends, I decided I would make a tribute to both of them and the friendship they shared.
Note: This is NOT a shipping video (for once). There is a lot of hugging and kissing, but they did a lot of that, and I wanted to highlight their friendship alongside significant funny moments and reunions (Match Game 90 was hard to use clips from because there wasn't a lot to begin with and also there were no two-shots of them). In preparing to make this, I ended up with a LOT of footage, so I had to make some tough choices in what to use. I hope the choices I made properly highlight their friendship and how funny they were together. I really wanted to give them the tribute they deserve, since there's really not any on YouTube. I hope I succeeded.
Rest in peace Brett Somers & Charles Nelson Reilly. Your love for each other and our love for you and the joy you bring will live on forever.
