We seek knowledge from the masters on how to make more money, lose weight, find happiness, etc. All too often however, we fail to see the man behind the curtain with an agenda of his own. In this short presentation, you will relearn some invaluable life lessons from one of your favorite childhood classic stories that will help you set goals and chart your own path to success.




Tina Postel is the CEO for the Billings Family YMCA. A transplant to Montana from the Chicago area, Tina took over the reins at the Y in July of 2010. A native from Des Moines, Iowa, Tina received a BS in Psychology from the University of Iowa. In December 2007, she completed her Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership for Nonprofit Management from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. She has spent her entire professional career working and volunteering in the not-for-profit field. She spent nearly a decade working for Orchard Place, an agency serving troubled children in Des Moines, Iowa. In 2000, Tina became the first recipient of the John J. Hansell Award for Excellence in Service to Children. Upon her family’s relocation to Illinois in 2005, she worked for the United Way of Will County as the Resource Development/ Major Gifts Manager helping to raise $4 million annually for those in need. In April 2007, she became the Director of Development for the historic Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, Illinois and completed the efforts of a $5 million capital campaign. In 2009, she was named the Joliet Area Young Professional of the Year. Tina currently serves as the chair for the Montana State Alliance of YMCA’s. In addition to her leadership role at the Y, Tina is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer. Tina presents on the topics of team building, strategic planning, organizational development and customer service. She inspires and challenges audiences everywhere to “do more and be more.” Outside of her professional responsibilities, Tina is an active community member participating with several civic and volunteer groups including the Rotary Club of Billings and the Junior League of Billings. Most recently, Tina was highlighted by Billings Business as a 2011 40 Under Forty Winner. Tina and her husband Steve reside in Billings with their three children: Seth (age 13), Tatum (age 9) and Talia (age 7).
