My El Choco Red Philodendron arrived from Ecuador on July 2nd and hasn’t grown a single new leaf since. When I unpotted it, I discovered early signs of root rot—but this plant is still fighting to recover!
In this video, I share exactly what I did to give it the best chance at survival: moving it from chunky soil into a sphagnum moss and perlite mix in a clear pot inside my greenhouse. I also boosted its recovery with Bios probiotics, yucca, and TPS Nutrients Billions Microbial Root Enhancer to support new root growth.
